Remote Care Program

Volunteer to provide care to Israelis via video. The Remote Care Program matches approved volunteer mental healthcare professionals who may not be available to travel, with Israeli citizens -- based in Israel and abroad -- who suffer from anxiety or trauma. This program is primarily targeted at Israeli mental healthcare professionals who live outside of Israel and have the critically needed language skill and willingness to provide care, but are unable to travel to Israel to support the psychological need in person.

Each volunteer goes through a credentials screening process and is provided trauma-focused care training. Supervision will be provided through the Israel Trauma Coalition during the volunteer’s period of participation. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 16 sessions of virtual care. Language is a critical component of psychological care, so Hebrew speakers will receive priority attention followed by those who speak second priority languages (French, Russian, Ukrainian, Amharic, Arabic, Spanish).

Note, we are currently prioritizing volunteers who are prepared to travel to Israel and provide in person care (“Direct Care Program”), but encourage all those interested in the Remote Care Program to sign up.
